Player Profiles

Name: Daniel Stead

D.O.B: 20/05/1997

Favourite food: Love a good pizza

Favourite movie/book: Happy Gilmore just because my dad showed it to me when I was a kid and I thought it was hilarious. Books wise, I have been pressured into reading the malazan books of the fallen series by Steven Erikson and quite enjoy that.

Year joined the club: 2008

Role: Left hand bat, usually opening

Highest batting score: 109 vs Old Minchendians in cricket week 2016

Best bowling figures: 2-0-10-4 for school vs Bishops Stopford, for club I have a few 3 fors I think

Favourite moment: Erm, I have a lot at the club. First hundred was good, the one the next day proving it wasn’t a fluke was good too. But it is probably either my first game for the 1s or my 68* off 48 overs against Rickmansworth for the 2s when we decided we didn’t want them to win after some fiery moments in the first innings.

Best player to have played with or against: In cricket weeks and a few friendlies I’ve had the opportunity to play against some really good players, but Chris Chellew really makes batting look so easy and is a funny guy.

What has made you stay at Cockfosters for so long: A mixture of family being here forever, as well as the social aspects being very enjoyable and having friends I’ve known the whole time I’ve been growing up and progressing as a cricketer.
